Comprehensive Eye Screening at The Lasik Surgery Clinic
Every journey to success starts with a strong initiative. As soon as you notice there’s something wrong with your eyesight, you should be seeking advice from an eye expert.
At The Lasik Surgery Clinic, we utilize the most advanced technology to provide comprehensive eye screening. This ensures precise refraction assessments to find out the best vision correction procedure for you.
At The Lasik Surgery Clinic, patients will undergo a series of comprehensive tests to identify if they’re qualified for an eye procedure.
The comprehensive eye screening begins with admitting the patient, where our eye care team receives and verifies the patient’s appointment.
Next, the initial assessment is conducted to gather preliminary information. The nurse will measure the patient’s visual acuity and endorse them for the next test.
The optometrist will record the patient’s refractive error measurement, or eye grade. This is done using an auto refractometer.
Subjective refraction is conducted to evaluate the patient’s manifest refraction and determine the best-corrected vision.
The evaluation of the anterior segment is an important step in comprehensive eye screening. The optometrist will conduct this using the MS39 and Wavelight Oculyzer II. The results will be used as a reference to determine the appropriate eye procedure.
Tonometer measurements will be done using the Reichert Tono-Pen, and routine mydriasis will be measured using tropicamide to measure the patient’s intraocular fluid pressure.
Further, a wide-field fundus photo using the NW500 Non-Mydriatic Retinal Camera is taken by the eye care team. This step captures a comprehensive view of the retina.
The nurse will discuss the results of the comprehensive eye screening and inform the patient of the appropriate eye procedure best suited for their needs.
Finally, the eye care team will schedule the patient’s appointment after qualification for the appropriate eye procedure.
Advanced Technology for Comprehensive Eye Screening
At The Lasik Surgery Clinic, we pride ourselves on using the most advanced technology to provide thorough and accurate eye screenings. Our state-of-the-art equipment ensures that every patient receives the best care possible, tailored to their unique vision needs.
Here, we highlight two key technologies used in our comprehensive eye screenings: the MS 39 and the Fundus Photo.
The MS 39 is a state-of-the-art anterior segment tomography and topography device. This technology provides detailed imaging and measurement of the front section of the eye, which includes the cornea, anterior chamber, and lens.
Additionally, the MS 39 combines Scheimpflug imaging and Placido disk topography to deliver high-resolution images and precise measurements.
The Fundus Photo is an advanced retinal imaging technology that captures detailed and high-resolution images of the retina, optic disc, and macula, allowing for a thorough examination of the back of the eye. This non-invasive imaging technology is essential for diagnosing and monitoring various eye conditions.
At The Lasik Surgery Clinic, we are committed to ensuring the best vision for our patients. Our comprehensive eye screenings, powered by the most advanced technologies like the MS 39 and Fundus Photo, provide detailed information about your eye health, allowing for accurate diagnosis and effective treatment plans.
